Lucy Rose is a realist sculptor and is currently undertaking her studies at The University of Worcester, and she is studying for her bachelors degree in Fine Art. Rose's work is inspired through her desire to tell the stories usually hidden inside, which she does through her visceral imagery. With this deriving from her personal family experiences and exposure to disease and addiction. She also has a desire to discover why we are so uncomfortable with what is hidden away by our flesh, when they're so incredibly important to the functioning of our bodies. She explores this by integrating the domestic into her work, aiming to create a sense of familiarity and connect within the discomfort.
